Previously used- BRAND NEW CONDITION - The National Optical & Scientific Instruments DC3-163 Compound Biological Microscope comes with a built-in 0.4Mp digital/500 TV lines analog camera, allowing you to document and manipulate specimen views using the included software. Numerous other features combine, adding up to one impressive system for use in professional research environments. The optical system of the DC3-163 consists of binocular widefield 10x eyepieces with a revolving pointer. Inclined at a 30° angle, the eyepieces also feature diopter and interpupillary adjustment, 3-position sliding rods for directing light, and 4 DIN standard oil immersion objectives. Objectives include 4x, 10x, 40xR, and 100xR lenses, resulting in 40x, 100x, 400x, and 1000x magnification. Illumination for the DC3-163 is provided by a 12V, 20 watt halogen, rheostat controlled, light. The rack and pinion controlled 1.25 N.A. Abbe condenser features an iris diaphragm, and a swing-out filter holder with clear, blue, green, and yellow filters. Focusing for the microscope is both coaxial and fine. Multiple safety features ensure the longevity of the device - such as a slip clutch mechanism and a safety rack stop.

  • Rechargeable AA nickel metal hydride batteries can be recharged up to 1000 times, with each 8 hour charge providing up to 50 hours of operation
  • Includes recharger shuts off when batteries are fully charged, eliminating the danger of overcharging and shortening battery life. Microscope can be used during recharging, or recharger can remain plugged-in for conventional use
  • Rheostat light intensity control with separate on/off switch
